This October 11 2014, Royal Palm - the most prestigious address in the Indian Ocean – reopens its doors after more than four months of major renovation. General Manager, Jacques Silvant is satisfied that the hotel is finally ready to welcome back its guests and make them live exceptional moments once again.
The hotel will now offer 69 suites with sea views that combine modernity and luxury. Each suite, as well as all public areas, have been completely revamped, refurbished and re-decorated. The "Ocean Suite", a brand new suite category, has been created. Located on the ground or on the first floor, facing the turquoise lagoon, these fifteen new Ocean Suites of 110m2 each, include a spacious bedroom, a separate living room, a large bathroom and a double terrace overlooking the gardens and the sea. These suites perfectly embody Royal Palm’s understated luxury and discreet elegance.
This major project was entrusted to interior designer Amélie Montocchio and architect Didier Ho in collaboration with Mico Giraud the original architect of the Royal Palm.
When it comes to fine-dining, the French chef Michel de Matteis, awarded "The Best Crasftman of France" (Meilleur Ouvrier de France), who has been in charge of the Palace kitchens for over 10 years, now offers entirely new menus in the redesigned settings of the Goélette Restaurant and Le Bar Plage.
In addition, the hotel is pleased to offer its guests a whole new dining experience directly from Italy. Where there once was Natureaty, now the restaurant La Brezza welcomes you on two freshly decorated open-air terraces overlooking the lagoon.
Among the new additions to the high-end facilities of the hotel, a new 25-metre pool has been built along the beach, facing the lagoon. This swimming pool, reserved to adults only, will undoubtedly delight sport enthusiasts with an eye for elegance.
